We have a new twist on desserts this week. Let's take a look at some of them!!


I like to change things up for my catering side of the business.  We tried this as a dessert at a small dinner party and my clients and guest loved it!!


Jazzy Toffee Pecan Cup


Servings: 20 people


6 cups of coffee (Community is my preferred brand - what can I say I am from Louisiana)

1/4 cup of white granulated sugar

1/2 cup of coffee liqueur 

3 qts of softened (not melted) butter pecan ice cream

2 1/2 cups of roasted pecans chopped (use this as a topping) 

(melt about 1 cup of butter and mix with  5 table spoons of brown sugar - mix with pecans and bake in the oven for about 2 -3 minutes)


Instructions:

1. Prepare your coffee

2. While your coffee is brewing gather all other ingredients

3. Once coffee is ready add your sugar and coffee liqueur refrigerate for about 45 minutes. ( If you are preparing for a dinner party you can always prepare the coffee ahead of time and refrigerate until you are ready to serve your dessert)

4. Pour 1/2 cup of coffee into your dessert glass

5. Add ice cream and top with roasted pecans and serve


Optional toppings:

Whip topping

Caramel syrup
